Cliffs of Moher Free for Clare Residents for the Holiday Season
The Cliffs of Moher Experience has confirmed that it will once again offer complimentary access to County Clare residents and holiday homeowners throughout the 2025/2026 Christmas season. The initiative, which runs from December 1st through to January 11th, is designed to encourage locals to engage with the natural heritage of the UNESCO Global Geopark during the quieter winter months.
Access and Booking Details
To avail of the waiver, residents are required to book their time slot through the official website using the promotional code CLARE25. This covers full access to the visitor centre, O'Brien's Tower, and the secure onsite parking facilities.
Seasonal Programming
The visitor centre is currently operating on winter hours, opening daily from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. To accommodate the holidays, the site has scheduled a full closure for three days: Christmas Eve (Dec 24), Christmas Day (Dec 25), and St. Stephen’s Day (Dec 26).
For those visiting during the festive window, the site has been outfitted with seasonal decorations, and the onsite cafes have adjusted their menus to include winter-specific fare sourced from Burren-based suppliers.
The "Christmas at the Cliffs" program also highlights regional craftsmanship. The onsite retail space is currently featuring a "Gifts from Clare" showcase, prioritizing products from local makers such as Wilde Irish Chocolates in Tuamgraney and various artisans from Ennistymon, Lahinch, and Miltown Malbay.
